Well, here we are … the second Friday of 2015. Wow! Already I sense this year is going to fly by. Before everything gets totally out of control, I thought I’d take a minute to share a few of the things I have planned for this little online spot during the coming months.
31 Verses to Pray for Your Marriage. I’m very excited about this series, especially after the incredible response to 31 Verses to Pray for Your Girl. We’ll kick it off January 15 and end on Valentine’s Day. And of course, I’ll keep writing about marriage in other ways as well.
JOY: My One Word for 2015. I can’t wait to explore this word with you. I’m excited about what God is going to do with this word in my life.
Healthy Heart. After the whole heart attack without symptoms, warning signs, and significant family history, I haven’t shared much about my journey. Mainly because it’s taken this long to get all the medications sorted out and for me to finally begin feeling like myself again. So, you can expect to read more about having a healthy heart — not just physically but also spiritually and emotionally this year.
Parenting. I’ll be writing about parenting a teenager and all that entails as well as sharing information about social media and other issues parents and teens are facing. And, several have asked for this, so I’ll be sharing about parenting an only child and the unique challenges and joys it brings.
Fashion! My girl and I love boots and scarves and flip flops and monograms and all that stuff. So, I’ll continue to join the What I Wore Wednesday community periodically and also share with you some of the great tools and products I find along the way for moms who are aging and for daughters who desire to look both trendy and modest.
Home. I love writing about homemaking and all the ways we can embrace the beauty of our homes. This year you can expect more posts about hospitality as well as recipes, decor, and more.
Living Well. How could I not write about this?? After all, if there is one thing I want to do here in this space and in my interactions with others all the time it is offer permission to live well. You can expect to find more practical and meaningful ideas for embracing abundant life here this year.
And of course, books. Because they are my favorite!
So, that’s the plan for 2015 in this little space. But of course, there is always room for something else … and if you have any ideas or suggestions for topics or posts, I’d love to hear them. Just leave them in the comments!! 🙂

Love your word for 2015! I am excited for the 31 Verses to Pray for Your Marriage to start. Praying for our marriages should be a priority. Can’t wait!

Thanks, Nikki! I am excited about the prayers series also. Loved doing it in October for our girls … and I know it is going to be a great way to kick off 2015!
