Isn’t she beautiful? This precious nine-year-old is our niece Greer and we are so thankful for each of you who have lifted her situation before the Father. We are trusting Him in all things and immeasurably grateful for the healing He has already brought to her situation.
For those who are unaware, Greer was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy this past Saturday. She is in the hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Her condition is very serious but she is doing so well. Many people been praying and encouraging since I originally shared about her situation. We have started a Facebook page for those who would like to send a word of encouragement to her and her family. We will be posting regular updates on her status there as well. If you would like to join us in Praying for Sweet Greer, we’d love for you to “like” the page and then leave a comment so we know where you are! It’s been such a wonderful thing to see people praying from all over the world … what a beautiful thing when the Body of Christ works together.
These are the verses the Lord has continued to bring to my mind during this time …
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
God, the Lord, is my strength; He makes my feet like the deer’s; He makes me tread on my high places.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 ESV, emphasis added
For those who would like more information, here is a great website about pediatric cardiomyopathy {thanks, Kristin, for sharing it with me!}. My sister {in law} Beth is making some custom gowns for Greer so she’ll have cute clothes in the hospital – isn’t she awesome! If you would be interested in donating toward the cost of fabric for that project, please let her know. You can follower her on Twitter or on her facebook page, Sew Anyhow.
Again, thank you for your prayers! We are so overwhelmed by all of the love and support we have received! Truly God is receiving all glory in this situation and we are resting in His love and compassion.

Praying for this child. I know when my son was battling Leukemia it was such a blessing to know that people all over the United States, and other other countries was lifting his name up to Jesus. Praise God, Hobie is 20 years old and doing great.
Let Greer know that she has some Texan Christians sending her name up to God.
May God Bless and Heal her and give her family faith and strength. May he wrap his arms around them all and give them his peace which passes all understanding.
In Christ,
Rachel Credille
