Do God’s words penetrate my heart?

I still find myself asking this question … and asking Him for greater understanding of what that means – to have His words penetrate deep within my heart.

Living in the construction zone,
I pray for God's words to penetrate my heart each time I read my Bible! Have a blessed day my friend!
That is my prayer whenever I sit to read, but if I'm honest, I have to say that His Word doesn't always penetrate my heart. Perhaps I'm distracted or not earnestly seeking, or maybe God will show me the truth of His Word in an event to happen later. Other times, however, the truth hits me right away! I will continue to pray that I don't miss what God is trying to teach me.
