What if, instead of merely nodding along as others speak, waiting for our chance to jump in and share our brilliance … what if, just for the weekend, we truly listened?
What if, in place of smiling at our children’s earnest play then doing our own thing … what if, just for the weekend, we joined them in their fun?
What if, as our husbands work on tasks about the home during their days off from work … what if, just for the weekend, we set aside our own agenda and helped them?
What if, just for the weekend, we did just a little more than is absolutely necessary? With our words … with our actions?
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests but to the interests of others. ~ Philippians 2:3-4, emphasis added
What if our treatment of others began with being courteously reverent to one another – in our homes, in our neighborhoods, in our churches, in our communities?
What if?

I am so guilty of just watching what Kiddo does for a minute, smile and say, "That's great, baby!" and turning right back to what I was doing. He needs me to join in with him sometimes. Great reminder, Teri Lynne!
