Last October I met the amazing Tricia Goyer. We’d been at a conference together for three days but never spoke until we were sitting at the Harrisburg airport on the way home. We’d arrived WAY early for our shared flight out of Harrisburg and spent a couple of hours getting to know one another as we waited to board our plane. Then, we were able to spend some more time chatting as we waited for our separate connections home from Charlotte.
I loved the opportunity to get to know Tricia. She is truly one of the most genuine and generous people I’ve ever met. And she is a true encourager. All that to say this, she has become one of my favorite authors … because when I read her words {non-fiction and fiction alike} I know the heart behind them is passionate for the Lord and for sharing His message with others. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to share with you her latest fiction work. We’re sort of HUGE Christmas people. My husband has a collection of over 200 Christmas movies. And we probably have that many books relating to Christmas as well. I’m thrilled to add A Christmas gift for Rose to our collection.
This delightful novella shares the story of Rose, an Amish girl who finds she is actually Englisch. As she works through her feelings about this discovery, she finds a new hope and meaning in Christmas … and a new love for her family and faith. Tricia is a masterful storyteller and this story blends her love of the Amish faith and her passion for adoption beautifully.
I’m always on the lookout for the perfect addition to the Thanksgiving stockings we love to give to those who gather around our table each year. I feel 100% sure this book will be tucked into the stockings of several family members.
And, I’m super thrilled to have an autographed copy to share with one of my readers! So, to enter the giveaway, just leave a quick comment sharing your favorite part of the holidays by Friday noon CST. I’ll email the winner next Monday.
If you are interested in learning more about Tricia and her books, check out her blog and her incredible Pinterest boards. And she share the sweetest words of encouragement every day on her Facebook page.
So, tell me, what’s your favorite part of the holidays?

Awww…I love remembering sitting with y’all at the airport that morning. I agree, Tricia is one of the most generous and genuine people around. I can’t wait to read Christmas Gift for Rose. I just bought it via your link. My favorite part about Christmas? Reading God with Us, a daily devotional for Advent. And this year I’m excited to read Ann Voskamp’s devotional.
